I get the maximum traffic with my articles and other content simply by using social bookmarking and social networks. So now whenever I add a short article to EZA or Buzzle or wherever I always publicize it on bebo, myspace and also Tumblr then I bookmark it with a few bookmarking websites for instance delicious and Mr.Wong. Since I've been practicing this I have seen my article stats skyrocket by more than 140%

It's even possible to have a handful of promotions queued up to cover a week or two or even a month of "Vacation" time. That said, its still a job until you can put it on autopilot and walk away, and have other people promoting for you, because they make money by doing it. I'm nowhere near there, but that is the goal.

That's the goal as a merchant marketer, yes Earl. But for an affiliate marketer it's a case of generating your own sales for OTHER PEOPLE'S products. As such, building auto-pilot traffic systems and automated list-building systems, along with planning & queuing up your e-mails DOES mean one can walk away - take a vacation, visit a few live internet marketing events and then tackle the next niche or sub-niche, all while the income continues from your first efforts. -DC.

Great point you are making and one people should look at carefully.

The long term business that you build along with your daily promotional activities is the key to a sustainable business.

It's funny, eh Mike? Marketers like yourself & me who have been at it for years feel like we're always doing TODAY'S work - but suddenly one day it dawns on us we have amassed an incredible body of work online. Teri & I never dreamed we'd have over 150 websites and a dozen blogs, but I'm sure glad we have the combined income they generate today! ;-) -DC.
